The MX1616-based DC motor driver board allows users to connect an external power source to drive DC motors that require higher current. Connect an external power source up to 10 VDC with a maximum current of 2.5A. The built-in IC contains two H-bridges that allow you to control two independent DC motors or a 2-phase, 4-wire motor. With built-in MOS switches and a thermal protection design, you can easily connect to most microcontroller boards such as Arduino using 5V power lines and PWM I/O. Thanks to its high current rating, you can use this module for a wide range of applications. There is also a 2.4mm mounting hole if needed.

This module is also easy to install. Two power lines (marked “+” and “-”) are used to power the entire module, 4 signal inputs and 4 motor outputs (IN1 and IN2 control MOTOR A; IN3 and IN4 control MOTOR B).
