One of the main disadvantages of lithium batteries is that they are very sensitive to the parameters of charging and discharging, especially overcharging and deep discharging.
Therefore, if we want to build a long-lasting, high-capacity energy storage, additional electronics may be necessary.
Collectively, these electronic devices are called Battery Management System or BMS.
