DIY Night field cricket, 5V DC
A cricket chirp sound simulation circuit made of Schmitt trigger inverters. The multi-stage oscillator chain produces a rhythmic chirping sound with a variable frequency very similar to the sound of a cricket. The LDR (light sensor) in the first stage disables the oscillator chain if the light hits the sensor, so that, true to its name, the night cricket only chirps in the dark.
- Input supply voltage: 5V DC
- Maximum current consumption: 20mA
- Size soldered together: 42 x 36 x 15mm
