A sound-controlled LED party glasses equipped with a KA2284 IC can be built from this kit. This circuit consists of a transistor amplifier and a level indicator circuit. The microphone amplifies the received signal with the transistor Q1, which is then sent to the signal input of the KA2284 (pin 8). The KA2284 drives five groups of LEDs to turn on and off. The louder the sound, the more LEDs light up. The sensitivity can be adjusted with a potentiometer.
